The entire team at Bruceb Consulting would like to wish everyone a safe and joyous holiday! Thank you for your support and your trust in 2010.

I worked harder – and had more fun – this year than ever before, trying to stay on top of the always-changing technology landscape and give you better tools to get your work done. 2011 is going to be even better!

• I’ll be rolling out new tools to manage your computers behind the scenes so you can spend more time working and less time fussing.
• We’ll continue the inexorable move to the cloud, giving you access to your stuff from whatever device works for you – a smartphone, a tablet (and there will be more choices soon than the iPad), a notebook, or more computers scattered around the home or office.
• Windows 7 and Office 2010 will fill your offices as you retire old Windows XP computers.
• New options for servers will make it possible for every office to choose the solution that works for its needs and its budget.

And we’ll have fun doing it, I think. With luck we’ll have fewer conversations about frustrations and failures, and more conversations about how to implement genuinely helpful services. Trust me – that’s way more satisfying!

If you’re sitting at a computer running Windows 7, go download a nice winter or Christmas theme from Microsoft, look at the pretty wallpaper, then pull back from the computer and enjoy time with family and friends.

Please accept my thanks for your continued loyalty and support! I love doing this work for you and I’m enormously grateful that you’ve allowed me to continue working with you.
